St Peter's PTA
We are very fortunate and almost unique as a secondary school to have a group of Parents and Carers who support the school and raise funds to enhance opportunities for our students.
The PTA is a wonderful way to make a difference to your child’s experience at St Peter’s and gives you an opportunity to meet other parents and members of staff. If you are interested in knowing more of joining please email pta@spexe.org.
What do the PTA raise money for?
The PTA have made a huge contribution to the life of the school with activities ranging from providing refreshments for school events, supporting our extensive extra-curricular program, and selling uniform to providing the fabulous Year 11 Prom each year! These experiences enrich the experience for many students and simply wouldn’t happen without the support of the PTA. St Peter’s relies on our PTA’s enthusiasm and commitment to make a difference, so this very dedicated group of parents are always very grateful to receive offers of help from parents willing to contribute in whatever form: time, experience, expertise or money!
Parents can be involved as much as you feel able to contribute. You could become part of the committee or simply offer to help with refreshments for Parents’ Evening – all offers of help are warmly welcomed.
Over the last few years, the PTA has sponsored many initiatives such as: Computer club for girls; Art club, Netball League, lots of musical things, Library Quizzes, Cookery Club, Dance Show, Headset Mics for school shows, Y7 Science club and gospel choir.
Contact us at pta@spexe.org or leave a message via the School Reception.
Who are the PTA?
The PTA is a small but very dedicated group of parents who arrange events to raise funds so that we can operate our (extensive) extra-curricular activities programme. This includes the second-hand uniform shop. They are always very grateful to receive offers of help from willing parents. The School Office will be pleased to put you in contact with them if you are able to help.
PTA Officers: Mel Hudson, Mukumnd Gosrani, Melanie Hudson, Sue Whiffen, Beth Court
