Non-uniform day – Friday 21st October
Friday 21st October is the final day before half term and is also a non-school uniform day! In exchange for a suggested minimum donation of £1, students may wear their own clothes.
Money raised will go towards sponsoring 10 young people in Uganda to enable them to receive an education. We are working in partnership with Edukid - a Christian UK registered charity that helps to remove the barriers to education faced by children living in poverty and conflict. More details here - https://www.edukid.org.uk/
It is important to make it clear that students must still wear appropriate clothing for a school day. The expectation remains regarding the wearing of sensible shoes, non-revealing clothes, levels of makeup, jewellery and hairstyles which form part of the school uniform policy will still apply. A helpful reminder might be the 3C’s of Non-Uniform – Clean, Comfortable and Covered.
If your child has PE on Friday, they will need to remember to bring in their PE kit.
If every student and member of staff supports this event by donating the minimum, we would raise over £1300 in one day which would be an amazing achievement.
