No one said no to Yes Tor

That’s right we ascended Yes Tor and High Willhays the highest points in England south of Kinder Scout in the Peak District rising above 2037ft and all on the first day of the Half Term. We were blessed with eerily still air and overcast skies which made for a very pleasant walk and enabled map reading practice to continue unabated by howling winds and driving rain as experienced in our previous walks.

Our adventurers clocked a distance of up to 20.5km and walked quite some pace faster than their route card had predicted. 

Bags will be packed one again for this weekend as we head out on our first camping experience even if we have booked a pub meal and skittles.
