St Peter’s Ten Tors training is now underway and we were extremely lucky on Saturday to be blessed with beautiful blue skies and a frost covered Dartmoor, just the crisp conditions we all enjoy. We must have looked like we were having fun as a small flock of sheep followed us on our trek. Just when we thought we couldn’t be any luckier Mr Hawker surprised the staff (and one lucky pupil) to a freshly cooked bacon sandwich and a fresh coffee on our way to Nuns Cross Farm.
Our introductory walk was less arduous but the views were spectacular all the same as we took in a 12km circular walk south of Princetown. All staff were thoroughly impressed with the navigational skills of this year’s intake and so we very much look forward to a great training season up ahead with a strong group of adventurers.
