NATRE Spirited Arts competition
BackNews - 17th Jul 2024
Year 7 have been working on their entries for the national NATRE Spirited Arts competition. We have been looking at how people express themselves spiritually through different forms of artwork in lessons and have looked at a number of different religious and non-religious worldviews.
Students have been able to choose from themes such as Holy Words? Wise Words?; Green Faith, Green Future?; How do we envisage God?; Looking Beyond; Why do animals matter?; Faith in Humanity: ‘No to racism, yes to respect’.
We are keen to share a few of the fabulous entries with you and have had a huge variety of different types of artwork.
Students also have to write about what they have chosen to produce, how and why they have produced it in the way they have and how it links to spirituality, religious and non-religious worldviews.
We are really proud of the hard work that has been put in to the artwork, written explanation and would like to commend Year 7 on the high level of theological and philosophical thinking in their work.
