Week beginning 3^rd February

Welcome to the week of Bugsy Malone! After many hours of rehearsals our show week has arrived! Tickets are still available but are going fast so don’t miss out!

As our half term draws to a close we will continue to focus on our over-arching theme of WISDOM through our series “Streetwise”. We will be hearing from the cast of Bugsy on Monday and Tuesday and I will be leading Key Stage assemblies at the end of the week.

The QT for the coming week looks at the remarkable story of Sir Nicholas Winton. For nine months in 1939 he rescued 669 children from Czechoslovakia, bringing them to the UK, thereby sparing them from the horrors of the Holocaust. Winton did not hide what he had done in 1939 but it was not well-known publicly because Winton did not think he had done anything extraordinary.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for the courage shown by Sir Nicholas Winton. Thank you that he didn’t stand by and be content in doing no wrong but that he was prepared to do good even in the most difficult of situations. Amen
